Events Director:
We’re looking for a dynamic individual who is knowledgeable about coordinating events aimed at connecting progressive women for professional development, networking, and resource sharing for life and work.
Being a board member for a non profit is an excellent way to gain management experience and knowledge in a skill set you are developing for your professional career. As a member-run network, we need your help to ensure we're providing quality events and programming to help members grow and succeed. For members by members.
Overall Responsibilities:
Organize a combination of events, including monthly happy hours and workshops, and our bi-annual marquee events
Collaborate closely with the three other event directors to plan and communicate effectively (can take 1-2 hours per week in active conversations via phone, text, or email)
Participate in membership outreach at our events, and advocate for Good Ol’ Girls to prospective members
Attend monthly board meetings (~3 hours after work) and the annual board retreat (one 8-hour offsite on a weekend in January)
Work with the Communications Director on promoting events on Facebook and Eventbrite, and via email
Be an active presence at Good Ol’ Girls events in San Francisco and/or Oakland
